High quality reinforced magnesium alloy housing

The Pulsar Axion 2 observation thermal imager is designed for constant use, often in harsh environmental conditions. The magnesium alloy housing is light and strong at the same time. The housing reliably protects the internal components of the thermal imager from shocks, drops, moisture, heat or cold. At the same time, the metal housing effectively removes heat from the electronics, minimizes image noise, and increases the constancy of device operation during long-term observation.

Long distance laser rangefinder

Understanding the distance to the target is an essential factor in making the right decisions. An integrated laser rangefinder with a range of up to 1 kilometer allows you to measure distances in single measurement and continuous scan mode with an accuracy of ± 1 meter for quick and error-free assessment of the situation.

High sensitivity European made Lynred sensor

The Axion 2 thermal monoculars are equipped with European Lynred sensors with a resolution of 384x288 pixels (17 µm pixel size) - XQ35 version / 640x488 pixels (12 µm pixel size) - XG35 version, which quality capture the useful signal in observation conditions such as rain, fog and high humidity at the observation site.

F35/1.0 fast aperture lens

The F35/1.0 germanium lens offers high infrared transmission in the LWIR range. Thanks to the high precision manufacturing of the optical elements of the lens, the image generated by the sensor of the Axion 2 thermal device is characterized by its sharpness and its details.

Extended battery life. Up to 11 hours on a single charge

A high-capacity APS5 rechargeable battery provides, depending on the model, up to 11 hours of continuous operation on a single charge. The battery can be removed from the housing and replaced with a new one in seconds. The battery is charged in a dedicated charger or within the device from a PC, from the household mains or from a power bank via USB-C. The same sources can be used for external power.

Improved Wi-Fi connectivity with 2.4/5 GHZ waveband support

Axion 2 thermal imaging cameras can connect to your smartphone via a 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi channel. The 5GHz connection offers better bandwidth, faster data transfer speed, noise protection, and a improved connection stability, resulting in more productive and easier operation of the camera through your smartphone.

Detection range up to 1750 m

A powerful F35/1.0 lens, combined with a highly sensitive thermal sensor, provide exceptional detection capabilities. A standard 1.8m high object can be detected up to 1750m away in complete darkness.

Pocket size and light weight

Axion 2 has a pocket-sized space-saving design and weighs just 300 grams. The device is easy to hold and use, for both right and left-handed people, thanks to the symmetrical design and in-line button layout on the top panel.

Variable magnification

The digital zoom offers better focus and better general recognition of objects at significant distances. Zoom changes gradually in 2x increments or continuously for a truly optimal field of view customized to specific situations.

Integrated photo and video recorder. 16GB of free cloud space

The Axion 2 has a built-in video recorder. The Axion 2's internal memory can store hours of video and tens of thousands of photos. Just press a button to take a photo of an interesting scene or start recording video. The footage can be copied to your computer's hard drive via a USB-C port. The owner of the Axion 2 has 16 GB of free disk space to store photos and videos captured with the device in Pulsar's cloud storage. You simply need to install the Stream Vision 2 mobile application, log in and connect the device with a smartphone via WiFi.

Remote operation and firmware update from smartphone via App Stream Vision 2

Built-in WiFi connects the Axion 2 to Android and iOS smartphones via the Stream Vision 2 mobile application. This opens up a wide range of options including wireless device software updates, real-time image transmission from the device to the smartphone screen , social media posting of photo and video content captured from the device or transferred to messaging systems, remote control of digital device functions and access to the latest news from Pulsar. Additionally, registered users get 16GB of cloud storage for photos and videos recorded with the device.

Quick start

The Axion 2 has a short power-up time: the device is fully functional within 5 seconds after pressing the ON button. Quick start helps save battery power: while hunting, the Axion 2 doesn't need to be ready all the time, just turn it on when needed.

The high-contrast AMOLED display has improved color rendering, energy saving and fast response, providing clear and smooth viewing even in freezing conditions.

A selection of 8 color palettes

A choice of 8 color palettes allows the user to observe their field of view more effectively, enabling them to optimize the unit for specific tasks and react to changing viewing conditions. White Hot, Black Hot and Red Hot are optimal for object detection, Rainbow and Ultramarine help to increase the chances of recognition and identification. Monochromatic red, sepia and purple are best suited for long night observations.
